Lemon Poppyseed Scones with Lemon Curd

The possibilities are endless when it comes to the different flavors of scones from L'Amande Bakery in Torrance.  Just when I thought I have tried all their flavors, they came up with the lemon poppyseed with lemon curd; not to be confused with the lemon lavander with lemon curd.

I believe scones freeze beautifully but I urge you to get there at 3:00 p.m when they come out of the oven. There is nothing like it. While you're there, might as well have the tea or coffee with it as this will set you back a whopping $5.00!

There are scones for everyone; if you are not a lemon fan, they make fig honey, white chocolate with cashew, blueberry, & orange chocolate scones.  When they open at 8:00 a.m. everyday, they post the scone of the day which comes out at 3:00 p.m. and their special bread for the day which is out (fresh) at 11:00 a.m. If you are not in the vicinity, you may call them up in the morning (310) 326-8980 and anyone from their always cheerful staff will be happy to inform you what the specials are for the day.
