I walked in L'Amande Bakery today at 1:00 p.m. and they were still busy. I decided to just get the Beetroot soup to go. It is faster if you order it cold and just heat it yourself.
As soon as I got home, I heated the soup, poured some of the cream they provided and dumped the lovely, crunchy croutons on top which are made from their baguettes. The vibrant and beautiful color of the soup was a bonus to the wonderful flavor.
I hope they make this soup more often. I will certainly watch for it.......
L'Amande is located at the Rolling Hills Plaza in Torrance.
