Bacha Coffee

I received a box of Bacha Coffee from my brother Dino when he arrived from Singapore. I've never heard of Bacha Coffee before. The bag alone was impressive. In the bag was an equally impressive box of the same design of the bag. He also got a box of Chocolate Coffee for my brother Gary. I suggested we open the boxes and mix the chocolate with the regular coffee, so we get to taste both.

The box sat on my counter for a week before I decided to try it. I was further impressed with the packaging. When you opened the aluminum envelope, there was a filter with coffee inside and instructions on how to brew the coffee. You're supposed to rip the top, spread the filter and hang it onto your mug. You then can pour hot water into the coffee. It's not a fast process. In the meantime, you smell this beautiful aroma, especially the chocolate coffee.

With all the hullabaloo, I thought, this better be really good. Much to my surprise, it was delicious. Since the filters are small, I made them in a small mug to make them stronger. I like my coffee strong with sweetener and whipping cream. I was not sure I would enjoy the chocolate because I dislike flavored coffee as much as I like chocolate. After I had the chocolate the second time, I ended up loving it.

Bacha Coffee is originally from Marrakech, Morocco. They only have Boutique Stores with or without Coffee Rooms in Paris at The Ritz, in Marrakech, of course, and several in Singapore.
