El Born

This restaurant was born in Barcelona, Spain. The cuisine is Catalan/Mediterranean. My brothers, Gary, Dino, and I were lucky enough to get a table.

We ordered several tapas to share. We previously had lunch and ordered half of our regular dinner. We all agreed on Croquetas Caseras de Pollo (homemade chicken croquetas). Those were delicious.

The Bravas El Born were crispy fried potatoes with their special smoky and slightly spicy sauce. We absolutely loved these potatoes. It's what potatoes should taste like all the time!

The Tortilla EspaƱola, a traditional Spanish Omelet, only better than one would expect. It had some sauce on top and had a mixture of beautiful flavors. The Arrroz De Carne Iberica was the star of the show. This Iberico pork rice was excellent!

We were all full, but there was no way we could leave without ordering Chef David's Signature Cheesecake. OMG!!!! This was heaven on earth. That's all I can say.

I was happy to meet Chef David Amoros, a delightful and humble man. I hope he eventually opens up a restaurant here in Los Angeles.

El Born is located at 2F Mitsukoshi BGC 8th Ave., corner 6th St. North Taguig in the Philippines.
